We have started and grown the Network already to a team of about 50 volunteers around the world, connected via monthly conference calls, emails, and Facebook messages. During the monthly video call, the migrant workers discuss problems they are facing and share ideas about how to solve them — but also consider how to organize the broader Network, what should be its priorities, and how to organize the whole worker community.
We are having a leadership meeting in Nepal this past September. We are now ready to expand the Network reach and impact, through expanded activities for which a global collaboration platform is critical. We are developing an online platform which will make it easy for us to disseminate information, connect to each other easily as frequently as we can, raise awareness, run campaigns, and discuss various conversation on building the network further.
